Ride for Free with Your Madison Public Library Card
Are you a Madison Public Library card holder? Thanks to our partnership with the Nashville Library you can now check out a BCycle Community Pass when you check out your books! The NPL BCycle pass grants you unlimited 2-hour trips, for one week.*
* Each Madison Public Library cardholder can check out one Madison BCycle Community Pass per month. To keep bikes available for everyone, riders must dock their bike at any station at least once every 60 minutes.
Using the community pass is as easy as borrowing a book:
STEP 1: Visit any madison public library
View all locations to find the one closest to you. Ask a librarian to check out a BCycle Community Pass – just like a book! Helmets are available too.
STEP 2: activate your community pass
CLICK HERE to sign the BCycle User Agreement. Please allow 48 hours for activation—you’ll receive an email once you’re ready to ride.
STEP 3: find a bike & ride
Use the BCycle app or station map to locate a bike, then tap your pass on the dock to unlock it and get rolling.

Powered by your library card.
