Madison BCycle, as encouraged, will remain open to provide sustainable transportation to those that need it, as well as remain a great option for those looking to get outdoors while still practicing safe social distancing.
We are aware of the growing concern in our community about the COVID-19 virus, and in addition to the regular maintenance we already perform on our bikes and stations, Madison BCycle has incorporated the following precautionary measures to better protect the health of our riders and staff:
- Increasing the frequency of cleaning and disinfecting of all BCycle bikes and stations.
- Staff members will use protective measures including gloves, hand sanitizer, regular hand washing, work space disinfecting, and isolating with any signs of illness.
We also strongly encourage all BCycle members to wash their hands thoroughly after each use and to follow safety tips from the CDC and WHO. We will continue to monitor the situation and adapt our practices as recommended by public health institutions.
